Yes, REW has a 1/48 octave Real Time Analyzer. It's the button marked RTA to the left of the EQ button - click on attached pic. The free version of TrueRTA includes a very low resolution 1 octave RTA which isn't very useful.

Agreed ! I always try to recommend FREE programs first,although they might not be the best..IMHO REW is probably one of the most comprehensive FREE audio measuring softwares available.

Alas, I don't use Windows and cannot use TrueRTA. I have REW and will look for the magic RTA button when I get home...thanks!!

Yeah same here, I mainly use Smaart and I have TrueRTA level 4 (1/24 octave RTA). These days, there are free programs which do as well, and in some cases better than pro software.

What I did Mah was I learned HolmImpulse first. Thanks to Pano for his tutorials ! Once I got good with that, it made it easier to learn the harder or more complicated softwares like REW... YMMV
